How do i change the power setting on a Sharp carousel microwave

Which model of Sharp microwave do you have?

For the SMC1441CB, after setting the cook time, press the power level button and then the appropriate digits for the percentage of full power to use. For full power, press power level then 1 and then 0. For 50% power, press power level then press 5.

For the SMC0710BB, after setting the cook time, press the Power button until you see the desired power level displayed on the LCD screen. Press Power once to get 100% power. Press Power 6 times to get 50% power.

For the R-659YW, you set the power before setting the cooking time. You press the Power button several times to get to the desired power level. Pressing Power 7 times will have the microwave cook with 40% of its full power level.

Many current Sharp appliance manuals are available on their product page or the Sharp support page. The current Sharp microwaves are listed here: http://www.sharpusa.com/ForHome/HomeAppliances/Microwaves/Models.aspx?facet:configurationfilter=Countertop . Other appliance manuals are available when you enter the model number in the search bar at http://www.sharpusa.com/Support.aspx .

I hope this helps.

My microwave want cook

Hello

and/or circuit breakers, particularly in the case of recent power failure, and reset if necessary.

Unplug the microwave, wait 30 seconds and plug back in to the power supply to reset the microcomputer.

Open and close the microwave door firmly and press "Stop/Reset." Select a new cook time and press "Start."

Ensure a proper cooking temperature and/or time is chosen, as low cooking temperatures or short cooking times may prevent the microwave from heating food appropriately. Press "Power Level" to ensure the microwave is cooking at 100 percent power.

Contact an authorized service technician if the problem is still unresolved.

What is the wattage for the white westinghouse microwave model wmw 17779

White-westinghouse 0.7 cu-ft microwave oven has an output power of 700 watts.
Power source for USA is 1200 watts at 120v/60Hz.
Most food cooking directions are based upon a 1100 watt microwave oven output..
You can roughly adapt cooking directions by multiplying times 1.6.

So if directions say 6 1/2 minutes at 1100w, cook for 10 minutes 24 seconds, or 10.4.minutes [roughly]
Why do people answer if they have absolutely no clue what the answer is?

How do you set the power level? The model number is: JVM1730DM1WW The serial number is: MM901698B

Assuming your touch pad is working properly, press Time Cook (for cooking) or Time Defrost (for defrosting) and then type in the length of time that you want the microwave to operate. Then press Power Level and type in a number from 1-10. Finally press Start. Depending on the GE microwave, the Power Level button may be above 2 or to the left of 0. (I've seen both keypad designs depending on when and where the microwave was manufactured.) If you press Power Level before setting the cooking time, the unit will reset when you press Time Cook or Time Defrost.

GE has the manuals for some of their microwaves on their site. See http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/literature/ and enter the model number in the search engine.

I hope this helps.

Discussion on the appearance, aesthetics, form and colur

Hello dutch.

This is an excellent microwave, over the range, white only. Here is a link to all of the features, and even the owner manual http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Home-Appliances/Microwave-Ovens/Over-the-Range-Microwaves/Technical-Specification/model.NN-S254WF.T#ts
Microwave Type: Over-the-Range Cooking Power: 1200 Watts Capacity: 2 cu. ft. Convection Cook: Without Convection Cook Dimensions Exterior Depth: 15 in. Exterior Height: 9.5 in. My mother just bought an Emerson MW8119 Microwave and can't figure out how to only set say 15 seconds cook time. Is it possible?

Hi! I just purchased the same microwave, and came online to find the solution. I was then able to find the correct answer to this problem. On this model, Emerson does not put a "time cook" button for odd cook times such as 15 seconds. Instead, they have you push the "Power Button" prior to setting the cook time.

If you want to cook on full power, press the power button once, and then enter your cooking time and press start. If you want to cook on 50% power or 30% power or something like that, push the "Power Button" several times until the appropriate power level is displayed, then enter the cook time and press start.

The reason that it starts up right away when *********** pushes the 1 button is because Emerson has the quick cooking feature for 1 minute through 6 minutes. You only have to push the number once to get the 1 minute cook time or anywhere through 6 minutes respectively.

Hope this helps!

Maytag Microwave Power Outage - Model MMV5000BAB

It's almost certain that your magnetron has failed and/or thermostat which is mounted on it. Fist, unplug the oven from the pwer. Then open the door and remove the stirrer cover in the ceiling of the oven. Look for any dark brown burns, charred spots, or "rusty" looking areas. This would indicate that the waveguide has burned, which means the microwave needs to be disposed of. If it passes that test, I'd say the magnetron and/or thermostat area bad. You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and the wiring diagram and order parts by entering your model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383 We have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk
