Sorry but it sounds like the carriage is not aligning. That is a common problem with age at some point on all VCRs. It is most likely not worth repairing. Good Luck

I hav a magnavox mwc24t5 triple combo. When I put a vhs tape in it spits it out. Sometimes it gets stuck in there and I have a time trying to get it out.

Please check your VHS tape's CONDITION. See if U can play it on another VHS. BE CAREFUL. sounds like a damaged VHS. You might need to take that to the shop. Better to have it checked than damage your materials. Had a similar situation with a DVD/VHS. Finally, the VHS got stuck inside. Thankfully the shop fixed it but my VHS never worked again properly.

My VCR/DVD combo wont play a VHS tape when inserted. Each time I insert a VHS tape, it shoots it right back out and sometimes unravels the tape around the apparatuses inside the VCR. It won't reco

the tape coming back out and unravels the tape means the loading mechanism is the problem----when a tape goes in it loads the tape down, then it pulls the tape out of the cassette and puts it up against the drum with the video heads-----many of these are belt driven and a bad belt or belts will cause this----it is called the loading and or transport mechanism.......when it fails the arms come back but the tape does not get rewound back into the cassette so it mangles it when the cassette door on the tape closes----most likely a belt or the drive idler which also rewinds and fast forwards the tape.

Audio Problems playing VHS tapes with Denon AVR 1910

Did it EVER work as expected with VCR audio through the HDMI or are we working through that right now assuming it can?

I don't have a detailed manual, but the rear panel clearly shows some analog-only outputs (and NO digital ones) for the section called DVD/VCR. Internally, I'm sure there are proper analog-digital-converters for recording VHS to the native DVD-R, but VHS VCR's are NOT inherently digital audio devices so I'm pretty sure you need to run an analog RCA pair for the VHS video.

No sound when playing a tape in the rca vcr player

If it's connected with a scart cable, then there may be a bent pin or broken wire.

Movie tapes have snow but not home video tapes can i fix it my self

I assume you have had this player a while and I assume that all the programs that work without snow are ones that you recorded using that VCR to do it. Right?

If so, it is a compatibility issue where the last time you had it fixed, the repair guy did not check for VCR to VCR compatibility. I had a shop for 15 years and this is common.

Do you have a Tracking control? try adjusting that. It is either a physical control or part of the menu, depending on that specific model.

Last...last is to open the unit and you must be very very careful. Put in a tape that is from another player that plays snow and identify the shinny rotating head if you can physically see it. It sits at an angle and the RCA is typically in the back middle, about an inch in a half in diameter. While playing press your finger very very lightly in the middle of the shinny exposed video tape for like 4-10 seconds and maybe the snow will go away.

Your video head may be worn or dirty. Do not attempt to clean the heads the are verrrry delicate.

3. Try finding an old VCR cleaning tape. It does the same thing as your finger.

DRC 8335 Playing Back VCR Recordings in a Fast Forward State

I bought mine yesterday and am having the same issues. No solution listed in the user manual to fix this and I have a rather extensive VHS tape library that I was hoping to move to DVD using this unit. Unable to watch any VHS tapes taped on my Panasonic VCR and it seems as if the tape is slipping. Tracking buttons don't fix anything. I found a blank spot at the end of the tape and taped something and it comes out fine. Could this have something to do with it being a 6 head VCR? Tapes are in SLP mode.

RCA VR688HF VHS VCR won't accept tapes

The brain in a VCR has a little switch assembly that senses what position all the mechanical stuff its in. Apparently, the mech is out of whack which is why it won't let you play. This is a common problem and any VCR shop should be able to repair it.

Tapes not playing

Hey do the tapes play at all? sometimes some tapes recorded
on other machines won't play on others. maybe you need to adjust the tracking on the VCR you are playing it on. If the tape
was recorded on a VCR that is misaligned it might not play back
on another VCR. Also the tape may have been recorded on a
super VHS VCR in et (extended definition) mode if so they won't play on just any VCR. If the picture looks scrambled like a
premium channel on analog cable then it's probably recorded in et.
and if its recorded on super VHS tape it may eject out of your VCR.
They don't make these S-VHS vcrs anymore but people still
have them around. There is also Digital VHS they're not
compatible with VHS either. A VHS recorded in et mode will
play on some more expensive vcrs it should say so on the box
or instructions.
