I have a Sony VAIO VGN-AW270Y and has Windows 7 ultimate. I do not get Windows Updates. Checking updates goes on for ever and does not seem to get connected to Microsoft server. What can I do?

Try running a windows update. click on the windows icon on the bottom left hand side of the screen, go to control panel, and search (in the box on the top right of the window) "windows update." Run this, select ALL updates (even the optional updates) and start the update. Usually, Microsoft will recognize drivers like that and install them for you in a windows update.
Perform a Windows update first to see if there are updates to correct the drivers. Then if any drivers are still missing, go to the Sony website and locate the Windows 7 drivers for your computer model.
