Insert the first recovery disk and simply reboot your computer. instead of loading windows you will be brought to a screen where you can set up your computer to be reformatted. if the computer boots windows instead you will need to change the boot order in the bios and set the cd rom drive first. this can be done by pressing a button or button combination while the computer is booting. pay attention because you onle have a few seconds. if all else fails call sony tech support and ask them how to change your boot order

    Sony vaio VGN-cs15gn/b recovery cd

    Hi,

The computer is shipped with Recovery Center. There are no system recovery discs included with the computer. The recovery data required to return the computer to the original, factory-installed condition is included on a special partition of the hard drive. You can use the same to create Recovery discs, please follow the steps mentioned below to create the recovery discs for your computer model.

Can't restore factory intallations and settings: Vaio VGN-FE880E

Are you doing DESTRUCTIVE recoveries or are you doing NONDESTRUCTIVE recoveries? Try another hard drive in the machine and recover to that. Nondestructive recoveries replace the operating system without destroying the personal data. Its possible the original problem is propagating over to the recovered systems. Do a destructive recovery. Understand any data not backed up will be destroyed. Possible the original problem was a trojan virus.
