My samsung tv LNT4669FX/XAA screen is blank but the tv and backlight work. how do i fix the tv?

As you suspect, it might be of T'Con board fault. Check all the flat cables connected to T'Con to panel should be checked first for any loose contacts. Re-seat them once. If you wish to know more, check this site. It has illustrations of screen shots, for Samsung LCD TVs, with a faulty T'Con board. Can compare these images with your TVs.

Replacement displays are the most expensive part of the TV and getting a new one will cost more than a replacement TV. You can check on Ebay for a unit that will not power up and you may be able to get a screen cheap enough but it most cases if the screen is broken then the TV is not worth repairing. Sorry

This is usually from your backlight Inverter/Power Supply Unit, You have to change this board to get it fixed again. When you open up the back of your TV it's going to be a white long board on the right side of your TV. To get one you can visit here BN44 00264B Samsung Power Supply Backlight Inverter

If you do not hear the color wheel start to spin inside of light engine this may have failed also check to make sure fans are working and safety switch is making contact

Sounds like the power supply board has failed, VERY common problem. You can call 1-800-samsung for the nearest service center.

I just fixed this very same problem. The capacitors are the problem. However, I think that if you have some minimal skills with soldering, you can fix this yourself. You just need to take out the system board, then the power supply parts are on the top right. The bad capacitor(s) will be bulging at the top and possibly have some brown stuff coming out. The ones that go bad are 1000microfarad, 10V, however you can replace them with higher voltage. I got 35V caps from radio shack for 1.59 each. You just need to solder out the bad ones and then put the new ones in and solder. Remember that the negative end goes on the side with the bold black part of the circle on the system board. Then just cut off the extra ends of the capacitors. If you are capable of doing this yourself, you will spend at most 6 dollars instead of however much a technician costs.

I concur with Lightnbaby.... had same problem... my TV LNT4042HX/XAA took 10 min to start sometimes... the capacitors on the power supply board had bubbles on top 4 of them all 10/1000Uf. Samsung wanted to charge $220+ to have a guy come out and fix. J&J parts (samsung vendor) wanted $108 for a new board. I replaced the 4 capacitors for $4.68 and the TV works fine now!!!!!
