Sony xbr 60 grand wega color problem.

I have and Sony xbr60 inches grand wega tv. the picture looks like an 1980 projection t.v. when I try to fix the color it still looks the same. I get a yellowish color. I have tried adjusting all the setting and nothing helps. the picture looks good but i get a yellowish color. does anyone know what it can be?

It sounds like to me you have a bad Optical Block. It is a expensive repair and you may want to call Sony at 1800-222-SONY and see if the would assist you in repairs. Due to the age of it, they would probably only cover a partial amount of the repair.

My sony xbr 60 picture turns off and on
No solution for you...but I have the same problem. I also had the green blob problem which sony fixed earlier this year. It happens on an intermittent basis. Screen goes off, standby light blinks green, then comes back on. Its off for maybe 1-2 min.

Is the bulb light flashing ? - Sony's bulb light is very accurate in telling you if the bulb is bad. The buzzing sound could be from the balist trying to strike the lamp. You also may want to open the lamp door and see if the bulb is shattered.

it sounds like the projection unit went out. if it is still under waranty then i would take back and get it fixed for free. if anything i would contact sony and tell them what is wrong with the tv.
