Re: no sound on pc

Your best bet would be to download the drivers for your card. Also I would recommend trying a microphone and see if that works at all. Also make sure all the connections are good and correct and that the system volume and the system wave volumes are at a decent level.

Sounds like you have the app installed; it's a free online donation tool. You may have downloaded it along with a disk utility or some other freeware. If you're getting a popup message, you're probably having issues. Contact them at the email address, or uninstall by following directions below:

Open your Start menu and choose Control Panel.
In Windows XP: choose Add/Remove Programs.
In Vista: choose Programs/Features.

Sound not working

I'm assuming you using a Microsoft Operating System "Win Xp, Win 7 and/or Vista".
If so they have a Free sound trouble shooter tool call Mats_Run.AudioPlayback.exe it will help locate and check your sound problems.

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";}

What it fixes:

  • Identify if the correct audio services are running
  • Identify if your audio device is disabled or turned off in Windows
  • Identify if your audio device is muted
  • Identify if the volume of your audio device is set too low to hear
  • Identify if the audio device is not set as default
  • Determine if your audio device is plugged in
  • You receive an error that states: There might be a problem with your audio device

To get it click link:

1. As you can see there is 5 different Fix it's the one you want should the 3rd one down called "Diagnose and repair sound play back problems automatically" (Or you can just click this link to go straight to it)

2. Click on the "Big Green Run Now button", save to your desktop (easier to locate).

3. Look for the Little man with the blue hat holding a wrench, click on him.

4. It should be open now:
  • Click the Run button to launch the file
  • Click the Continue and/or Allow button to proceed
  • Let it run to locate problem and fix it.
Thanks for choosing FixYa, If you find this helpful please vote and comment.

Reload your sound drivers. I had this same trouble with this same computer. If you dont have the software, go to HP/Compaq support page.

I hope this helps you

There should be no problem, if the sound doesn’t work try uninstalling the the Drivers and Reinstalling after you installed Vista im pretty sure that Vista will install the Drivers automatically.

No sounds

perhaps you don't have the sound card installed. check your drivers, control panel > system > hardware > device manager. search the sound card, if you can't find him he must be in the unknown devices. if you have a drive cd use it, otherwise you'll have to gogle you sound card driver.
