Sorry to say no it wont not unless the Tv set manuel says it has a Duel Freeview feed , you have to get another freeview box for the recorder .
besides If you used the freview in the tv 1 , the tv would have to be on when you wanted to record ?. and 2 you couldnt watch another channel whilst recording another .. only 1 tuner ?. also you could only record the program you had on .at the time no timer facility .
People are still used to the Old system of VHs and the fact that all videos had tuners built in so you could watch and record .. It will come and indeed some more modern DVD recorder have freeview built in again sorry but thats the facts , and dont forget if you want the pay per view channels on free view your going to need a tuner with a pay card port ... SOURCE: Hi, I live in a flat in London with a shared

Make sure you have a good connection from antenna to TV. Check antenna and cable and cable connection to TV. Select DIGITAL button on TV remote when wanting HD channels. Remember HD channels are always digital. Also, any given TV station may not be broadcasting in HD at a given time. They can broadcast in digital but in standard definition sometimes. Your TV has a built-in DVB-T tuner. Try executing a channel scan to pick up all available channels. On-screen menus go to Digital Setup, then Digital Tuning, you can auto-tune or manual tune channels. The TV should take a few min. to scan thru available channels and store the channels its finds. Check with anyone in your area to see if they get HD channels (it is possible to be outside of the range of some TV stations) Your TV is a 2006 model and should still be compatible with local digital TV broadcasts but keep in mind digital signals could change in the near future (DVB-T2) and you may need a tuner/converter box to make the TV compatible.

I have a freeview build into my tv which is Panasonic plasms tv Model no. TH-46PZ8BA and wish to know how I can receive HD channels BBC or ITV. Please advice and help.

HD Ready just means the tv can display HD images from an HD source.

The built-in Freeview box on your tv is not Freeview HD compatible so you'll either have to buy a separate external Freeview HD box or subscribe to an HD satellite or cable service.

In any case, most built in Freeview receivers are of barely adequate picture and reception quality. An external box is usually far better in both respects.

Loss of all BBC programes during re-tune been done 3 times working the just vanish need to re-tune again Any advice This TV is not connected to Sky

This is impossible to answer without knowing which make and model of Freeview receiver you're using (or the make and model of TV if it's a built-in receiver).

In the meantime, check channels 800 to 810 as this is often where the missing channels get relocated to on some equipment which has a slight incompatibility with the recent retune. If that's where your channels have gone then you just have to live with it as it's a hardware limitation of the receiver chipset; the only cure is to buy a separate external Freeview box which often has the additional benefit of giving far better reception quality than most inbuilt receivers.

If this has answered your question then please return the favour by rating my answer; if not then please add a comment with the required additional details and I'll provide additional assistance.

I think you need to get Sky because it will give you 100% coverage of all terrestrial channels. You may need to retune the television otherwise just get sky

Recording Problems

Hi.

Yes.
Most tv sets with freeview built in do not allow you to record it.
Check your tv instruction manual to see if it is at all possible.

I have lost my tv channels!

I have a philips freeview box (although it is not built in). I recently lost all my channels also. It took me back to the installation screen and started to look for channels, furthermore if it couldn't find any it 'bugged out' on me. The only way I got around this was by unplugging the aerial, watching the screen trying to scan the channels and when the progress bar / channel # was near the end plugging the aerial back in. For some reason this started the scanning over again but this time it found channels! Strange I know, but maybe its different for me and one of those conspiracies that they program products to fail after a few years to make you buy more. Try this and let me know if it works Thanks Matthew
