SOURCE: old bernina 830 stitching problem: tight

Sounds like you need to adjust the tension. Probably a good idea to oil this older machine before you adjust. Also look for and clean out any lint or debris in bobbin case and around foot area.

How do I access G2 stitch series on Bernina 1530 Inspiration?

The G2 Stitch series on the Bernina 1530 Inspiration is a set of decorative stitches that are programmed into the machine's memory. To access these stitches, follow these steps:

1. Turn on your Bernina 1530 Inspiration sewing machine.
2. Use the stitch selector dial or buttons to select stitch number 800, which is the starting point for the G2 Stitch series.
3. Once you've selected stitch number 800, you can use the stitch length and width adjustment dials or buttons to customize the stitch to your desired specifications.
4. To access the other G2 stitches, simply press the "next" or "previous" button on the stitch selector panel to cycle through the stitch numbers. The G2 stitches are numbered 801 through 811.
5. Select the G2 stitch you want to use, adjust the stitch length and width as desired, and start sewing!

It's important to note that the G2 Stitch series is not available on all models of the Bernina 1530 Inspiration, so if you're having trouble accessing these stitches, it's possible that your machine may not have them. In that case, you can consult your machine's manual or contact a Bernina dealer for assistance.

How do I setup Bernina virtuoso 150 to do blanket stitch

Check your machine's stitch options. A lot of older Bernina machines do not have a blanket stitch option. Although, you may find another stitch that will work.

Gummed up baste stitch finger on bernina 1130. how can I fix it?

If you can join the Yahoo group "BerninaThirtySomethings," there are a lot of conversations there and documents that explain how to fix the stuck basting stitch. It is rather difficult to explain so that would be the best source. (You will need a Yahoo email account to join the group.) A Bernina technician can release that for you.

Can I sew a Blanket stitch with my Bernina 930 Record machine?

Once upon a time, a blanket stitch used to be a long wide zigzag stitch. If you are referring to an electronic stitch version that would look like the inverse of a blind-hem stitch, then no, this is not possible on the 930 record machine.
What is nowadays called a blanket stitch used for quilting applications requires the machine to stop feeding during the stitching cycle to allow for the single stitch to the left and then back again. An electronic step motor machine, common to all newer Bernina machines can do this and or similar functions. That being said, don't be thinking about getting rid of your 930. Better to get one of the newer units for occasional blanket stitching and keep the Swiss made 930. The Bernina 930 is a lifetime machine. Computers machines are not lifetime class machines by virtue of being computers. Electronics are short lived.
