Re: I put a new transfar case in and todays later it will...
Possible the transfer case is in neutral? If a manual t-case perhaps lever not adjusted properly. If electrically actuated, perhaps shift motor misadjusted, or shorted out?
also i would check trans fluid level, also m ake sure your transfer case linkage didnt slip and its not partially in nuetralalso i would check trans fluid level, also m ake sure your transfer case linkage didnt slip and its not partially in nuetral

check the clutch operation
if cable it is a faulty clutch cable and needs replacing
if hydraulic it will be the clutch master cylinder and needs replacing
if they are both new items then the clutch needs to come out as it could be oil on the clutch plate making it slip
It sounds as if your automatic transmission clutch pack is slipping. You could try changing transmission fluid, but sometimes that may make it worse. You're likely in line for a new transmission. It will continue to get worse until your car will not go at all, or it may only be worse in certain gears, depending on which clutch disk is slipping.
When was last time trans fluid & filter was changed? Sounds like trans filter is clogged, hopefully not badly. If it's been happening for awhile you might need trans replaced/rebuild.
As far as the power problem, it sounds like you have a battery connection that is not clean and tight, OR your new battery might be bad. I would check all connections, if they are all good, I would have the battery tested.
OK, slipping is an internal transmission problem. If the vehicle has not been on the road for a long time, I suggest that you at least change the trans fluid. Depending upon what year the vehicle was made, electronics play some part in trans operation (later years more so than earlier ones) but from what I understand from your post, it seems more likely that internal transmission clutches are not getting adequate apply pressure, and are therefore slipping. Using lower transfer case gears puts less load on the transmission therefore making it easier to get the vehicle moving, but the slipping is likely still there. If when you remove the trans pan you find a large amount of debris in there (either metal or clutch material), or any gummy residue this will verify that the problem is inside the unit. On some transmissions you can change pressure, but in most cases this does little or nothing to help the problem.
