Hello friend without physically seeing your unit it's going to be hard to fix that as it could be kicking of for any number of reasons most of which are designed to protect your unit. One thing that you can check is the condition of your coils. If the outside coil is full of dirt then it will cause the unit to turn off because of high pressure and if the indoor coil is dirty then the coil is being insulated from the heat that it is suppose to be picking up and thereby causing a low pressure situation causing the unit to go of because of low pressure. These are just a couple of things that could be wrong, my advice would be to find an A/C company that you trust and get it fixed before it really gets hurt. Hope this helps 2rns4u <*{{{>(

I watched your video on youtube. Sounds like a seized compressor. Do you know if it is reverse cycle or electric heat?

My LG window ac continues to shut down after 20 or 25 minutes

The button on the plug is a GFI. Ground fault interuppter. Like on your hair dryer. When the unit is running, or has just tripped out, feel the plug and the well receptical. If either feel warm or hot, do not continue to run the A/c unit. Get an electrician to check for a faulty/ worn/improperly wired outlet. The units tripping out for a reason.

Reset air conditioner

Unplug it. Wait a few minutes. Hold in the Power button while plugging it back in and keep the button held down until a beep is heard (~5 sec). Unplug the air conditioner, then plug it in again.
Note: some units require using the Mode switch, rather than Power.

"Cool" mode shuts off

An E1 error is automatically generated after the AC runs for so many hours to remind you to clean the filter. The owners manual says to clean the filter and unplug the unit, then plug unit back in and code will be reset. However, a User review stated that his code was not reset until he followed a fairly simple routine. "Unplug the unit. Hold down the power button and plug back in. Wait to hear a "beep" and then unplug it again. Plug unit in again and it should restart without E1 code."
