SOURCE: I can't get a design

Hi Callieprince,

I am sure i will be able to help you, but i need more info:

  • Do you connect directly from the machine serial port to an old computer serial port, or do you connect from the machine serial port, via a serial/usb adapter to usb?
  • Does your computer reconize the communication port?
  • If you click on "transfer to machine", there is a port icon, and also a bits per second icon, which can be changed by clicking on the little black upside down triangle. Which ones are you using?
If you can answer my questions, I will respond as soon as possible

SOURCE: My viking platinum 955-E will not sew design loaded on D Card.

When you are saving designs in your software, be sure to hit the Centre button and also the Centre Design in Hoop button. Click "Apply" then save your design. Also worth checking that there are no stray stitches outside your design. Click on the Edit tab (bottom left of screen). If there are stitches outside your design, click on them (or use the lassoo tool to surround them) and hit "Delete". Be sure you are not deleting essential parts of your design. This is assuming you have 4D Embroidery, Embroidery Extra or the 4D Pro Suite. These buttons and features are not available in Organizer.

Testimonial: "Makes me think. I only have 4-D orgainizer but what was said applies. I may have to check outlines. Thanks"

SOURCE: I am having trouble transferring designs from USB

Ok, you need to put the file in the EMBF folder on the USB stick and the the machine should be able to see it.

What corresponding # to use on the sewing machine to recognize the 3D programmable card.?

To recognize the 3D programmable card on the Husqvarna Rose sewing machine, you need to select the corresponding design number on the machine. The design number is usually located on the packaging of the 3D programmable card or in the software used to transfer designs to the card. Once you have identified the design number, enter it into the sewing machine using the keypad or touch screen.

I want to let you know that not all Husqvarna Rose models are compatible with 3D programmable cards. Check your machine's manual or contact Husqvarna customer support for more information.

I have a 3D/ Pfaff 2170 Creative & I'm using Windows XP. No device found error. I can not transfer the embroidery design to 2170 Pfaff. Help!

Sounds like you don't have the device driver on you computer for the sewing machine. Question: Did it ever work? If it used to work but doesn't now, try using a different cable from the computer to the sewing machine. You can also try rebooting the computer (with the sewing machine connected and powered up) to see if it will locate the machine.

How to transfer embroidery patterns to Brother sewing/embroidery machine

Machine designs first designator is the file name. Your machine shows the file number for the design you want. You do still need to "select" that design number shown to actually begin teh file transfer from a thumb drive or cable direct from your computer if your machine has that feature.

Get error message "stitch file too large for hoop". I have resized and still no luck putting it onto my card. I have the 3D program and recently downloaded files that should have been compatible.

You need to be sure to click the Centre button and Apply before saving. Also look at the design close-up and check for any stray stitches outside the sewing area for the hoop you want to use. Use the Edit tab in 3D Customising to remove these stitches, then re-save using the buttons as above. If that doesn't work, try saving the design in another format (.pes for instance), then bring it back into 3D Customising, click buttons as above and re-save as .vp3 or whatever you prefer.

I have the 10000 with the upgrade and am using my new lap top with Vista and I am unable to transfer designs with the USB cord. We determined it is not the cord, the computer or the sewing machine so it...

If you have the customiser software open the disk up to view the drivers the driver may work with the win 2000 if so it will look for JSMC and install it. If this does not work try right clicking on the customiser icon and see if you can run in compatibility mode, Otherwise you may have to use a SD card and only transfer to that.

Janome 10,000 Customiser from the computer to card

Try re-formatting your card in the sewing machine. First, tho, copy all the design files that are on it to a file on your computer so you won't lose them (Reminder- you should always put copies of the originals on a card... never the original!) Then, put the card into your machine while it is turned off. Then turn it on. Then go to Settings button (below the LCD screen) and push it. Go to Embroidery. Go to the next page and chose Format card. See if this fixes it. If you are using other media to transfer designs- I'm not as certain what to tell you. [email protected]
