Question about Computers & Internet
I'm not sure what you are trying to do. Is the signal too weak?
You could use the router to extend the range with the proper configuration. Either that, or purchase a wireless extender that does just that.
You won't get a stronger signal. A router does not boost a signal. It can pick up the signal and rebroadcast it using a different IP.

I have a Verizon/Westell 7500 router. It has been successfully installed. I was able to change the router's operation so it don't need the cat 5 cable. There is a phone line hooked up to it. What do I have to do to allow me to remove the phone line and make this router portable
