The denotation of my agenda is that I am nice to my friends for a week. That is the thing that is on my list. The connotation of having this agenda is that I am trying to get free work out of them. "Having an agenda" is often thought of in a negative way; that is, people are suspicious of other people who have an agenda. On the other hand, having an agenda or a list of things to be done at a meeting can make the meeting go quickly and efficiently, As long as there were no hidden meaning behind the agenda, this word can be considered to be neutral in its connotation.
