On the front of the remote underneath the 3D, zero and minus keys, you can see a line that slightly arcs. Turn the remote upside down. The power button should be in the bottom left corner. Place both thumbs just above that arcing line and firmly push up.

this is the the fly back transformer ,replace it or if you are not a repair man ,please contact the nearest repair shop.(risk of shock hazard -high voltage!!!).

T.v. not coming on ,turned off by itself with an arc noise


The part is known as a flyback transformer.. it will have to be replaced.. also the horizontal ouput transistor will possible most likely be bad..

You apparently have a high voltage arc. Possibly the anode lead to your picture tube. Also the flyback transformer could be arcing. If you're not experience with tv repair, you need to have a tech check it for you. The circuits operate at very high voltage and if you get into it you can get a possibly fatal electrical shock. Be careful !!! Stargazer
