Boswell preheat 2x has a horrible smell when operating. This is the first time it has been used. Smells like electrical but much sweeter I guess.

check the following:
are you using liquid detergent? if so after extended use, the machine smells like drains. put on the hottest wash with no clothes and smell will go. revert to using powder.
check there is a water barrier between the drain hose and your main drain. if not, the smell of your sewer will come up thro the drain hose.
is the drain connected to a spigot off the sink trap and do you have a waste disposal unit? these stink and unless you again have a water barrier the smell will come thro the drain hose

if the is a convection model then the covection coill will smell that way if there is a geese build up and should be ok to use. however you should only smell that if you are using the convection mode.
