My screen has a green hue and cannot seem to

One of the possible things:

a loose/bad/dirty connector contact or a bad solder contact inside the case (possibly the LCD screen connector at either side). This may show up as the problem you're having with your unit. Checking and/or cleaning/resoldering the connector pins might solve this.

It may also turn out to be something else (like a bad output from a chip or a bad component inside or near the video section, which might require component replacement.
