Did you make certain you used the same type plug you took out? Did you check the gap in the electrode? Did you make sure the clip inside the rubber head that goes onto the sparkplug is snapped on all the way?

Did it run fine before you changed it? Did you tighten it in all the way? Did you make sure the plug wire was plugged in all of the way on the top of the plug? Sometimes the rubber boot fits so tight that you think the connector is touching and it's not.

Has a mist in motor

A miss or mist? If it is mist, possibly radiator hose, heater hose, oil sending unit. What kind of fluid is it? If it is a miss then first thing would be change the spark plugs if they haven't been changed in a while. If it keeps missing after that try pulling the spark plug wires one at a time with some spark plug wire pliers. If you pull one and it doesn't make a difference then that is the cylinder that isn't working. Put a spark plug in that wire and see if it is firing by grounding the base of spark plug and watching it. If it doesn't fire first try putting on a spark plug wire, if that doesn't fix it, you must have a bad coil pack. If you have spark when doing the test above then maybe an injector that isn't working. Please rate my answer so I am rewarded points for it.

Mower will not start, seems to be ignition problem, engine doesn't even try to fire. checked spark plug and gap, checked ignition switch wire and changed coil pack.

Remember, if all of the safety interlocks aren't "made", the ignition circuit will never "close".
The symptom will be not even trying to turn over.

Take spark plug out ,put sparkplug wire on plug and let it lay against block. Watch to see if plug fires. If not change coil. Hope this helps.
