SOURCE: My Mitsubishi VS-60707 Problem...Need Help!

There are two common problems with this set that cause the symptoms you described. Both of them are caused by capacitors: CHECK C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01. CHECK C2P08 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P03. They are located on the signal PCB. Both capacitors are inexpensive and will more than likely solve your problem. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: mitsubishi WS-55513 won't turn on

Two choices =
1) Replace DM MODULE. 650.00 is right.

2) Rebuild DM MODULE. Done right = a little less than Mits.
Caution: High degree of skill needed and ask about warranty
in either choice.Rebuilds usually cover only parts installed,
not complete module. If you do the research on repair, you
will find pin push reset does not work,in most cases....T.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi ws-55513 green flashing light issue

I would asssume that the four cap replacement you're referring too is in the power supply of the DM module. (The large silver looking box on the left looking at the back of the TV)..
You can unplug that module from the signal board and remove it. Open the cover and you should find 4 16v caps in the power supply. If they look buldged chances are they are the failure. If not you might want to take an ESR meter to them to confirm they're okay and move on... In the back of that module is a small vertical board called the E2P module. Unplug it from the DM and plug the DM back into the signal board. If it powers up your picture might not be in the best alignment but you've identified the problem - just replace the E2P module.
If none of this works you're going to start getting into some greater technical requirements - but let's cover that when you get that far...

This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. Did you say you got it from an X friend? LOL Sorry, its not funny, It obviously didn't like being moved. Sounds like solder problem in the power supply somewhere, hunt round locally for a good shop. (probably a few hundred dollars to get fixed.)
