Needle thread does not pick up bobbin thread on my baby lock sewing machine

Threading the Baby Lock BL2400 sewing machine can be done by following these steps:
1. Raise the presser foot: Lift the presser foot lever to raise the presser foot.
2. Thread the upper thread: Take the thread spool and place it on the spool pin at the top of the machine. Follow the numbered threading path indicated on the machine or in the instruction manual. Typically, the thread will go through a series of thread guides, tension discs, and the take-up lever. Make sure the thread is properly seated in each guide and tension disc.

6. Bring up the bobbin thread: Hold onto the top thread with your left hand and turn the handwheel toward you with your right hand to lower and raise the needle. As the needle rises, a loop of the bobbin thread will appear above the needle plate. Gently pull the top thread to bring the bobbin thread loop up through the needle plate.
7. Pull both threads to the back: Hold both the top thread and bobbin thread together and gently pull them toward the back of the machine, ensuring they are out of the way of the needle.
8. Perform a test stitch: Once you have threaded the machine, insert a fabric scrap under the presser foot and lower the presser foot lever. Select a straight stitch or another desired stitch on the machine and slowly begin sewing to test the stitching.

Sewing Machine: Needle won't move
A disengaged clutch, broken drive belt or internal drive gear failure can prevent the needle from moving. Engage the hand wheel clutch if you have it disengaged for bobbin winding. If the needle won't move with the clutch engaged, unplug the sewing machine and check the drive belt.

• The needle could be bent. Replace the needle making sure the flat side is facing the back.

Immediately, take it back where it was serviced. They should make it right.

make sure the needle is facing the proper direction, the scarf of the needle(small indentation just above needle eye) should face the handwheel side of the machine and must be in all the way. This machine uses round shank needles so make sure the needle isn't twisted or it won't pick up thread.

You have your bobbin inserted into the machine spinning in the wrong direction. take the bobbin out and flip it over and wind around needle plate guide and cut. Look at the little pictogram on the plastic part of the machines throat plate. It shows which direction the thread should spin off the spool when you drop the top loading bobbin into the bobbin case.

first change the needle
rethread the machine top & bobbin
use every thread guide
clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint
make sure the bobbin is not warped or damaged
make sure the bobbin is not to full
make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly & turned correctly in the
bobbin case
make sure there are not any burrs on the needle plate
make sure there are not any burrs on the bobbin case

Re-thread, re-install the bobbin, change to a new needle.

If the problem continues the machine may need to go into the shop for service.

Make sure the needle is facing the right way. If it's in backwards it won't pick up the bobbin thread.

Sounds like you have to take off the throat plate and clean out threads under it.  Sometime they ball up and prevent the needle from going down and catching the bobbin thread. You can't see themuntil you take off the plate.  Follow the directions.  It is easy.

I cleaned the machine good with canned air, oiled it. I took out the bobbin case and cleaned it good also. I then noticed the tension screw on the bobbin case was loose, tightened it and the problem was fixed.
