THE FILL TUBE IN BACK OF REFRIGERATOR CAN SLIP

REMOVE THE ICEMAKER AND INSPECT THE FILL TUBE.
RUN WATER IN TUBE TO ELININATE BLOCKAGE AND CHECK
TEMP IN FREEZER. IF TEMP IS BELOW 0 DEGREES, THATS
OVERKILL AND USUALLY A WASTE OF ELECTRICITY TO KEEP IT THAT COLD, NOT TO MENTION THE FILL TUBE FREEZING UP

Hi, We have a ge refrigerator gsh25sgpa-ss. Water is leaking down the back of the inside of the freezer. We have replaced the filter and the water valve, any thoughts?

The drain in the freezer behind back lower panel
needs opening. You can see it at the bottom of the back panel
underneath the evaporator coils. (The cold coils)
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
When the defrost melts the water it goes down the drain
If the drain is clogged with Ice or ? The defrost water
overflows into the ref. or freezer
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

Does GE TFX22ZR side by side have water filter? and how often do we need to replace it and what type?

Hello,

Your refrig is a older model and does not have a built in filter, if it did it would be in the upper right corner of the fresh food (ref) compartment

GE TFX22ZR side by side. ice maker not making ice

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

A strainer before the inlet valve can also get stopped up restricting flow.

Water does not dispens, but ice dispenser works fine.

could be a thermistor, there should be one on ref.side towards bottom of ref.with a white cap over it.behind it is your thermistor.but you also hve them in your freezer.so it is hard to say which is bad.you should have 2 in freezer.they are also white and almost bullet shaped.

TFX22ZR leaking water bottom of freezer door

your drain is plugged , take the cover off and air tank hose and blow out the drain , it is simply water build up and flows over to the bottom of freezer, its defrost water from coil , does'nt matter if you have water shut off
