Question about Nikon D70s Digital Camera

1 Answer

I have a new Nikon D-60. Using Windows XP, I downloaded 255 pictures. Not having picked a folder to put them in, it by default put them all in My Pictures. I then created a folder to put them in and using the "move" command, I moved all the pictures into the new folder. My problem is now it will not let me open the folder. It says, "access denied" It also shows when you hover the mouse over the folder that the contents are 0 bytes. It will not let me delete the folder either, so I am stumped. Unfortunately, I deleted the pictures off the camera once I knew they were safely on the computer.

Sounds like a permissions problem. i suggest logging in as an administrator -> find the folder that the pix were moved to, right click and select properties -> click the security tab. if you dont see your username or profile listed under group or user names click the add button -> advanced -> find now -> highlight your username or profile -> ok -> ok -> back on the folder properties secruity tab make sure the full control allow box is checked and click apply then ok.
if this helps make sure to rate me
thanks and best of luck 2 u!

How do i import pictures from canon camera to my computer acer Aspire E15

You have not specified what software you are using to connect the camera. I use a program from Canon, that by default places pictures in a directory called downloads and then in one with the date. Save a picture from your camera. If it looks like you are downloading somewhere, and if you are on a windows machine, then use windows search with advanced search function. Under windows XP:
Click Start>Search>For Files or Folders
Click When was it modified
Click Specify dates [Defaults to changed today]
Click Search
This will give a list of files modified today. If you view the search results in detailed format, and twice single click on "Date Modified", then the top entry will be the most recently modified. You should see your new pictures and the directory they were placed in.

Chrome will not open

Harvey,
You could try this:

-first, delete your current installation of Chrome,

-then, open Windows Explorer, and depending on your operating system, go to: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\
for Windows XP

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\
for Vista/ Windows 7/ Windows 8

-Go to the folder "Default" and rename this folder to "Backup Default".

-Now download and install Chrome again.

-Start it up. There should be a new folder "Default", created when you started using the browser.
If you value the data in your old profile: you can try copying them from the backup folder to the new profile, but some of it may be corrupted.
But at least your Bookmarks are not lost:
-go to the "Backup Default" folder, and -locate the "Bookmarks.bak" file. -copy it to the "Default" folder, and -rename it "Bookmarks". All the other old browser data is preserved in the "Backup default" folder, but transfering it to your "Default" folder may corrupt Chrome. Tread carefully, if at all..

I created different folders to download music from various artists. I had left my computer on while in process of downloading music. A new folder was created and I had to leave the premises. My mom decided to turn off my computer, while that new folder was open, and now that folder is a system folder using about 54G of memory. Windows XP will not allow me to delete nor change it. How can I reclaim this memory?

as you can delete the folder one by one as you have created on your own by default at sys folder thats the only option

try also to system restore option from control panel

Computer sees camera as storeage device rather than as imaging device. Running Windows XP Home Edition. Camera is Nikon Coolpix 5200. Have downloaded latest Nikon software. Have talked with Nikon...

According to Nikon specifications this camera uses USB only to transfer pictures and videos, not for video streaming or taking pictures (image device), but you could test if it changes opearting mode by setting USB option to PTP in the setup menu (by default is set as Mass storage).

Trying to download my pictures from Canon Powershot A430 onto my new laptop Windows 7. Downloaded the disk and now trying without success to download my pictures onto the computer. Help??

Supported windows Operating system Windows 98 Second edition(SE)
Windows Me
Windows 2000 Service pack 4
Windows XP SP 1 and SP 2 Canon PowerShot A430 has no update about the new driver software for windows 7 Try doing this direct transfer in your computer 1. Connect the camera to your computer using the supplied USB cable of your camera. 2. Set the mode dial to (playback) and turn on the power.
The camera and computer will be able to communicate. 3. If there is no pop up window that has Canon CameraWindow, Click the [Start] menu and select [all Programs] or [Programs]. followed by [Canon Utilities], [Camera Window], [PowerShot-IXY-IXUS-DV 6] and [CameraWindow] 4. Download the images.
* Download the images using the camera or the computer.
* By default, the downloaded images are saved into the [My Pictures] folder. ** If the above process does not work you can just use the memory card of your camera and connect that on your laptop. (some laptop has built in card reader) The memory card works like a flash drive and you can just transfer files like transferring from one folder to another. ** Issue on the operating system compatibility.

Dont know how to download my pictures from digital

You can plug in the camera to your PC and use the default option in Vista or Windows XP that should pop up when you turn on the camera to the review or Play setting. You can also use the program that should have been supplied with your camera by Fuji. Also you can connect the camera to the PC, Turn it on tot he Review or Play setting and then transfer the pictures using Windows Explorer from the camera which you will see as a new drive letter to a folder which you can create in My Pictures, Documents etc.

Can't download pictures on Windows XP

First do a windows update, see if you have all the current versions of software on your computer. Then install the nikon software on your computer. If that fails, I recommend using a card reader to download your photos to your computer. Card readers are quicker and don't use any battery power to download either.
