The Toshiba Satellite a105 has an S-Video output (small circular port on the left of the laptop). You can use this output if you have a n S-Video input on your TV. To get it to work you have to be in TV mode or some combination with TV. Hit Fn-F5 until TV is displayed. At this point you should be able to see some sort of video on your TV. Sometimes the TV won't be listed as available. The setting is flaky. A reboot will solve this. I've also got it to switch over after playing with multiple settings. Too difficult to describe.

If the image is rolling and black and white then you may need to switch from PAL to NTSC TV mode. Go to the video driver advanced tool (Intel in my case) via the Display Advanced Properties.

I hope this helps.

If your LCD TV has VGA input, then you can buy a cable that goes vga out of laptop to VGA in of TV... Also you can get an audio cable that goes from line out of your laptop to 2 rca jacks for your TV...

Radio Shack sells both types of cables - and you can also buy them from many online retailers if you look for video or audio video cables... I got a paired set from pcconnection.com

check the source which gives you the signal for the hdmi! for an example, if you hook up you lap-top via hdmi with the tv, there is a setting on the lap-top and you choose: 1. transmit picture, 2. transmit sound, or do not transmit anything.

How do i hook lap top up

Most Laptops have a VGA output port. You would just hook this to the VGA input of the TV for video (picture).
You would then need to hook an audio cable from the laptops headphone jack to the TV's VGA's Audio Input jack.
Newer laptops have a HDMI output so that is easier and can hook directly to the TV's HDMI input for both video and audio.

What's your problem?can not hook up lap top to tv

Connecting your laptop to your TV will require a HDMI cable. Attach the cable to the HDMI ports on the latop and TV, then change the source input from your TV to HDMI and your TV will now display your laptop.

We want to hook laptop to tv and here is the number lc-26sh20q

Hi Donna.
Do you have an HDMI plug on your lap top?
If so, then buy one and connect it to your pc and tv. Change the tv's input so it is on HDMI and change the laptops display settings to projector.
(If it's windows 7) or another display setting that will display on both your TV and your lap top screens.

Hope that helps. Let me know..
