Im using win7 OS, not hearing sound from my computer plz give ur suggetion,....

Have you checked the tray icon of volume at the taskbar? Are you sure it's not muted or originally the speaker is muted? If all the combination are OK and you can listen music, videos but not the logon, logoff and such like system sounds then right click on the volume tray icon and click on Sounds. This will open up a window containing the Sound Schemes. Please be sure it is not the "NO SOUNDS"scheme. If it is so, select any other sound scheme. Still if this is also Ok, then it is most certain that you have installed the audio driver from your motherboard CD which is not compatible to Windows 7. If this is the case, try to update your audio driver checking it's compatibility with windows 7.

Can't hear music on my monitor

There should be a lead plugged from the computer speakers output to the monitor input, usually a 3.5mm stereo plug at each end. Make sure this is actually plugged in at both ends (sockets and plugs are usually Green for speakers).

There is a volume control in the computer, which you may already know about. This is accessed by double-clicking the speaker icon in the system tray (lower right corner of the screen).

The monitor will also have a volume control, accessed via the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu system, using the buttons on the monitor.

Check all those things and see how you go.

No sound on monitor had new sound card fitted to

Chances are that it will be something basic

first off check via your control panel then system then hardware that there are no issues pending with any hardware (exclamation mark)

If so that needs to be addressed first and is usually a driver issue.
Seeing as its a new card you should have the driver disc nearby.
In most cases just pup it in a drive and it may auto-start in which case just follow any instructions you are given on screen.

If there were no issues there then there is a good chance you have either a volume control icon or maybe even an icon from the sound card manufacturer either one should let you at the section I would like you to check next.

Right click on either the volume control or any other sound related icon.
either way you should get a volume control option.
Open it ans you should see a list of the sound devices available to you

Make sure that the first for ar set to at least half way and then click OPTIONS. your new sound card should be listed as the first device and any others BELOW it. If thats not the case you need to set it from here to be the first.

try a music CD

I will assume you already plugged in the speakers to the green hole on your sound card and that they are switched on with the volume control turned up a bit.

Speakers are hooked up, cant listen to anything.

ok the first thing u have to check in ur windows xp desktop that the volume icon is diplaying in the bar below the screen .if not than go to controlpanel --> sound and audio devices --> place volume icon in the taskbar check this option and the volume icon will be avaliable on ur desktop.remember this option is only avaliable if the drivers is installed . than u can double click this icon and set the equilizer. if ur sound not installed than u have to install it from the motherboard cd that is provided by the manufacturer. thankx and take care of urself.

Simply no sound from PC

Check if you have plugged in the stereo pin to the right port on the PC.
Open sound control (in control panel) and check if the both speaker(main volume) and the wave volume sliders are not set to the lowest.

Everything connected right can't hear music.

You tube might use a different method to control volume. Check your media player's volume setting. If that doesn't solve the issue, right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray to bring up the volume control, then see if any of the volume is at the minimum level.

Also, if you can give more detail about the type of computer, make, model, etc. I can help you further.

I want my music back!

Have you tried to raise the volume by double clicking on the speaker icon on your taskbar. This will open the play control panel where you can raise the volume.

If you do not see the speaker icon, go into your control panel and chose sounds and audio devices and raise the volume from that screen.
