Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Hi I have a Brother DCP-115C nad have been trying to print full size glossy photos but the machine struggles with the heavy paper, makes a gawd-awful whirring noise then prints the first inch or so of the picture then its blank. Is it likely I am ever going to be able to do what I want? Thank you

Not on this brother machine, it's not designed for photo paper of any kind and will always jam on anything heavier than plain bond paper.

Your glossy paper is too smooth for the rubber rollers to grab it.
You need to wet the rubber rollers. Ever licked your finger in order to turn a page in a book? Same concept solution here.

Remove the paper tray. Take a look inside the space created where the tray was, and locate the rubber rollers. Lick your fingers, and use them to moisten the rubber rollers.

Reset printer and print again. Or try "un-smooth" the paper where the rollers grab it.

Dcp 115c printer

Hi,

The nozzle may be blocked. So take out the colour cartridge and place its nozzle in a bit of water for about 10 mins. Bring it out and dab the nozzle with folded paper. If the tissue is blotted with the three colour it means you have unblocked the nozzle. Try now to print after returning the colour cartridge. You may need to repeat to get good results.

Thank you!!

Paper jam/no paper fed

make sure the photo paper is in glossy side face down,
set the paper type to photo.

If it keeps jamming it's because the paper feed is probably dirty and not taking the paper properly

The paper issue is personal but as general glossy paper will damage the head aas it leaves wax on it and you may try jus any paper that you like starting from light weight to 25% as far as the print location it is the setup on the computer not the printer, try to use cheep paper and try few setting tell you getr the correct setting for the printer also make sure that when you put the papers the sides are close to the paper and sopporting them good so they do not move

Not printing glossy A4 paper / paper jam / no paper feed

dont use thick photo paper like 230 gsm up, instead use 180 gsm papers. but if you dont want to waste the purchased thick photo papers, you can open the back and manually insert the paper once the printing process started. i tried this as a trial & error basis until i had perfected it.... hope it works with yours.

Brother DCP-150C problem = nothing is coming out of the paper eve

Best thing you can do is first make sure all packing has been removed off the new ctgs, sometimes manufactureres have small tape covering the head which causes this issue, also if ctgs look good then go to print driver right click and go to properties and look for utilites or diagnostics and run full head cleaning to make sure there isn't dried ink clogging lines.

Hope it helps

Pohot paper jamming in Brother DCP-115C printer

This is a common error of this printertype. Please use only paper of max. 220g. There is no problem reported with that.
