Nakamichi TA2A gone dead

Died about two months ago - no lights come on when turned on, nothing works. Before this it would make a very static-y noise when I wanted to listen to the radio. It would ultimately go away (after about five minutes) but it would maintain the signal for only 30 minutes to an hour. Up until it died, though, the other features (amplifying TV/DVDs) worked fine.

Thanks for the help,

This unit needs an overhaul. There are defective capacitors and poor solder connections that need repair. I have done a number of these and the repair is straightforward.

TV won't turn on

Sounds like power supply died. Ours did the same thing a few weeks ago. Unfortunately we have been unable to locate a replacement as Protron (USA) has gone out of business in the Spring of 2009. What a great product...and Shop NBC should be ashamed of hawking this junk.

It could possibly be the starter, but before you get that far make sure the Battery cables are connected very tight. If loose the car won't start or do anything. Also make sure the battery cable is grounded.
