Hello there,

I am just wondering can you put a DDR2 1gb 800 ram in a motherboard that can only take 533 as a max?

Many thanks.

DG965WH Board works well with 533 RAM, but is very finicky about 800, if you use 800, use only what is recomended.
I used kingston KVR533D2N4K2/2G with good luck on 4 motherboards.

You can try it, but watch for crashes and stabilty issues, if it has issues, remove it.

I have the same MB, and I'm running the two Kingston /1G sticks with no problems at 800 Mhz. I have heard though, that WinXP will only recognize up to 4 GB, even though the board allows for 8 GB at 667 Mhz or whatever. My thought is, can I load 8 GB at 800 Mhz? why can only 4 GB at 800 Mhz, work, and the additional 4 GB require a slower speed? has anyone run 8 GB at 800 Mhz on the DG965wh?

No it is not possble for a motherboard desighned to handle a certain amount of data simultaneosly at the same time , you see the thing is your ram is 800mhz and your motherboard is so much less , if it were possible for your pc to even boot up there would be so many error in the system registry that ur system would crash did this answer your question if yes pls return the favour by confirming

I have motherboard Mercury PVM7P, i installed 2 GB DDR2 RAM 800 MHS but its showing only 448 MB what is the solution for that anybody can solve it, how much maximum RAM can support this motherboard

Hello you can find info here:

http://www.mercury-pc.com/product-detail.php?link=p-mainboards&subtitle=Mainboard&productid=677

The mainboard supports:

2 x 240-pin DDR2 DIMM socket support up to 2 GB DDR2 533
Maximum: 2GB

533 mhz is probably limited speed by the CPU and the FSB settings.
So you have to try with another type of ram module, the 533 module, because 800 mhz is probably to fast for this mainboard.

Good luck

I am using D102GGC2 Desktop board with Intel Pentium D Processor 2.8GHz and using 512MB DDR2 PC-533 RAM. Nw I want to upgrade to 2GB and decided to purchase 2 * 1GB DDR2 PC-667 RAM. Will it be compati

Hello here is the homepage:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine=Third-Party+Chipset+Boards&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Desktop+Board+D102GGC2

You can only add 1gb per slot Because the mb does not supports a bigger module.
This ram type does come as 1 gb module.
The 667 mhz and 800 mhz is the Mhz speed for the ram module.
Your mainboard supports this but it will only run the current front side bus speed as the mainboard supports.
This means that the new ram will only run 533/400 mhz as the mb supports.

Hope this was helpfull

Hello Sir, I had 512 MB 533 MHz DDR2 RAM(Dynet). Now I have bought 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 RAM(Dynet). My system has 2 slots. In one slot, I have 512 MB RAM and in another slot, I installed 1 GB RAM that I have...

The Intel D102GGC2 uses a Dual Channel Memory Architecture meaning that both slots need to be running at the same speeds. I would suggest getting another 667 MHz RAM card and installing it along side your current one, just as I reminder this motherboard only supports 2GB RAM Max so don't get one that is above 1GB.

What is the max dual channel ram i can put iin my msi 865pe neo2 motherboard.

Hi merlin_65,

Regardin your question:

• Supports four unbuffered DIMM of 2.5V DDR DRAM.
• Supports up to 4GB memory size without ECC.
• Supports Dual channel DDR266/333/400/433/466/500/533 MHz and up. (DDR433/466/500/533 are overclocking spec).

Hope this helps.

Hello! can i use two 1GB DDR2-800 ram in my motherboard INTEL D102GGC2

Your motherboard takes 533 or 400 DDR2 SDRAM Non-ECC DIMMs.
If your memory is DDR2 Non-ECC it will fit but only work at 533.
