Hello Lee Nieto,
Your question is an interesting one... but without a model number the answer is ... NO.
FIXYA is an a FREE... all VOLUTEER organization...
There is NO EXTRA charge for providing details (that would help us help you).
If I knew the make/model... I could divine the COUNTRY...
IF I found it to be the USA (for example) I could direct you to MULTIPLE parts houses... like
"appliancepartspros.com", or SEARS or
REPAIRCLINIC.COM... BUT all of them would also be stopped "COLD" by your inadequate disclosure
Do you have power at the outlet... Is the unit plugged in...?
Is the Thermostat been advanced/retarded
(removed... ???)...
Is the condenser completely shrouded in dust or has it been routinely vacuumed...??
I can tell you that the refrigerator shutting off and "defrosting"
could be PERFECTLY Normal for a "SELF DEFROSTING"
type of refrigerators (they do that two or three times every day...
((but that cycle seldom lasts mote than 45v minutes))....
One possibility... AGAIN WHOLLY DEPENDENT ON YOUR
MAKE & MODEL... IS if the defrost tier has failed
(if equipped) it is only a motor driven timer...
Also... In most cases the simple act of OPENING THE DOOR
could cause your symptoms as well as a
FROST BLOCKAGE or a FAN FAILURE...
The lack of meaningful / helpful information
is painful...
I would love to try to help but the fact is I am not psychic (although I can rad some facts from some communications...
I'm seeing NOTHING from yours..
Please give us a chance to help and add these details into your next POSTING.
