Question about Abit KN8 Ultra Motherboard
I have an ABIT KN8 mother board which has been working fine up untill now. Now it will do nothing! I have changed the power supply out for a good one and the only way i can get any life out of the motherboard is the short out the startup connection on the ATX motherboard connector (Black and Green wires). Has anyone had this problem and have you got around it? Don't realy want to buy another motherboard if i can help it.
Seems like the start-button or the wire connected to it is broken instead of the mobo. Basically when you press the start button you short the 2 cables together. Try replacing any shabby looking parts of these 2 cables, and if here aren't any, try to replace as much of the cables as you can. Just try some basic copper-wire, preferrably insulated, and that should do the trick.
