Question about Hotpoint Dryers
It could be blocked up with lint, take out the condenser (silver fin bit) and clean run under a tap if necessary, this is the most important bit of the condenser if this is dirty it reduces the efficiency of the dryer. clean all filters with a vacuum cleaner even remove them and clean where they sit in the machine with the vacuum cleaner.
for the reservoir remove a check the inlet is clean and clear. look inside the machine where this is located and again clean and clear this area, then using something long and thin press open the valve that the reservoir mates with (this can often stick with lint and water residue) be-careful though when opened the valve will **** out water so have a few towels to catch it all. and finally raise the front feet a little this will help the water fall to the reservoir.
if this does not work the internal tank may have fluff and this would be a big job to get to this and clean it you have to strip the drum out which can be a pain.
