I have a 50 inch samsung hlp5063w when i turn tv on lamp light on front blinks

Look at turn on to see if lamp fires even for a second.

If lamp has not been replaced in 2,000 hrs it is a suspect.

If you heard a high pitched whine or fan like noise before the set failed remove the lamp and look where it faces----is the color wheel shattered or missing pieces?

The blinking lights will be flashing a code.....

Can you please indicate the sequence of the flashing lights, as this will determine what needs to be done to fix your fault.

Since you have replaced the lamp and wheel, next would be the ballast and power supply board. These provide power to the lamp and Samsung recommends replacing both at the same time. If power supply board is bad, it can destroy the ballast so replace both. This usually takes care of the problem.

Any light blink on the front. Whats the voltage to the ballast from the power supply. Common problem on these sets are bad lamp door switch. Try shorting the switch. Color wheel also is problematic but usually will be noisy and cause shut down. Check power board for swollen capacitors. Hope this helps

REPLACE LAMP

It could be the lamp but don't overlook the lamp door interlock switch. If the lamp door is not aligned properly, you may have intermittent shutdown or no start conditions. You can temporarily cross the interlock switch to confirm that this is the cause.

Did you check the picture format and adjust for 16:9 in the menu?

rither the lamp door cover switch, or the thermostat has become intermittent..neither one is very expensive but soldering skills are needed
