Question about Toshiba 61HX70 61" Rear Projection Television
You have to unplug the power to stop the red blink light and turn the set on. The picture is distored and wavy and what picture there is does not want to hold horizontally. After about 30 seconds it shuts down and the red light blinks again. Any assistance or advice appreciated.
You could have a Power Supply Regulator Problem. Many times these sets will not hold Horizontal sync when there is excessive High Voltage or a problem with the High Voltage Regulation. This is not a problem you want to deal with yourself. I would recommend a Toshiba Repair Facility to come out and diagnose it.
Hope this helps,

I had service man come repair the set. He replaced the ICs and a resitor. Only one IC bad but he recommended replacing both. He also done routine maintenance service. The thing was awfully dusty and dirty. Repair price < $300. Great picture now. :)
