Re: apple 30 inch monitor

No, this is not normal. This could be one of two problems. 1) internal connection to the "Y" array is somehow been compromised either through some defect in manufacturing or simply a loose connection. 2) The LCD converter board in the monitor is defective. In either case it's internal to the monitor and would have to be serviced. Have you checked with HP to see if the device is still under warranty? It just might be If not, you can try opening the unit and checking the connection on the left hand side towards the area you mentioned. But beware that the monitor does contain leatal voltages.

My Dell E2209WC have black horizontal bands/lines all over the screen.

if the lines are like blinking and appearing and vanishing, then try adjusting the cable attached to your monitor or buy a new cable that is attached between monitor and system unit.

When watching movies on my computer, I am getting a weird line through the middle of the screen at times, also, when things are moving on screen faster, more lines seem to show. I guess they don't really...

i think your vertical IC ( if vertical lines are shown) / horizontal IC ( if horizontal lines are shown) of your monitor has damaged. you may contact a mechanic and change the corresponding IC

Hello, My name is Richard and I am part of Dell's Online Community Outreach group. Looking at you monitors issue; it would be most advantageous that you contact our technical support. Your monitor seems to be a fairly now model and is probably still under warranty. Call 1-800-WWW-DELL and provided the technician the PPID number on the back of the monitor. I would check the cable and connector pins first. Then I would suspect there's a problem with the video signal board inside the monitor. It could be the LCD panel controls, too. That would make the unit beyond economical repair unless you got a used one.

Apple 30 inch monitor

Sounds like a possible bad pixel. I would power the machine down, reseat the graphics card, reconnect the dvi link, and reset the PRAM.

Keep me posted.
