That's just it. I turned my notebook on after it was done with "System Recovery." Then my power went out. As soon as I hit the power button, everything is working including the notebook's screen. Only it's not booting. The Screen is completely Blank!

I'm sorry I was not clear. When I turn it on. I still get a blank screen. There are no options stating on the screen. Just as soon as I turn it on, it's an empty black screen. I don't have a recovery disc, since it was purchased as a refurbished product.

It was the video card was accidentally disabled and I don't know how I did that.

    Thank you so much!

Can you enter the bios by pressing F2 before the windows program starts? Do you have your origional recovery, driver, windows, discs? If so, I suggest first booting up and pressing F2 (I believe) then find the boot up section. Change first bootup to cd rom and second bootup device as Hard Drive.

Then place you recovery disc in cd rom drive and reboot the pc and see what happens.

You will have to try and get a windows disc, or other boot disk to run in computer as soon as you turn it on. Otherwise, the video card drivers may have not got updated or video card accidentaly was disabled.

I unplugged external drive from my notebook aoa150, and the computer went dead. How could I restore to make it work again? Thanks

Hi,

You can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction. NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.

You can also create a set to Recovery disk from the recovery partition, to do so
Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Click Create Factory Default Disk, if you receive any error code or unable to burn the disk, please contact Acer Technical support at 1 800 816 2237 and order for an Recovery Disk.

Hello i went to restore my acer and now it's stuck when i turn it on first you see acer screen then it goes to starting acer recovery management then windows xp screen and then it says please wait then it...

Follow the steps below,

Step 1: Shut down your PC completely.
Step 2: Turn on the Power button.
Step 3: As soon as you turn it on start hitting the F8 key on your keyboard until you get to a black screen called "Windows Advanced option". (If you don't get to that that screen but you end up reaching the blue screen than that means you have delayed in hitting the F8 key. start again from step 1.)
Step 4: As soon as you reach "Windows Advanced option" use your down arrow keys to choose an option called "Last know good configuration".
Step 5: Select that and HIT ENTER.
Step 6: your PC will boot to the windows.

Hi,

Before you try to restore the computer with CD, I would advise to try to restore through partion you can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Altgr" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Altgr+f10 or Alt+F10 (try both), it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction. Is there a prompt to hit a special function key before Windows starts up?
If so, press that key to do a system recovery.
Othewise, you'll have to get a recovery CD or DVD
