Question about Tomtom ONE GPS Receiver
My TomTom One has worked flawlessly for the past 2 years...but after sitting in the glovebox for a month or so - i charged it up in preparation for a trip. It will link to a satalite after 5-10 minutes, but why is it so slow all of a sudden.
I have tried removing all the files and reinstallation, and erasing the flash....improved a little - but still very very slow to do the initial link up.
The advise is NEVER store your gps in the glovebox or center console. Temperatures in cars soar or freeze when parked and this affects the battery.
Change the battery and ensure the new battery is properly charged. When not in use store in a place that is not subject to extreme temperature changes.
