Question about JVC AV-48WP30 48" Rear Projection Television
When I look at most programs except some news programs or something live, the picture is so dark, you can hardly see the images. I have used the color, tint, brightness adjustments as much as I can, but it is still dark. Is there something I can do or another control I do not know about that I can use to fix this problem. I am thinking about buying another tv, and it will not be a jvc.
It was bought Nov. 2003.
Thanks for any advice you may offer, Roger Hill
My JVC TV AV-27D304,is to red, tried to lower the tint, colour, brightness etc.. and the red always come back. It get so red I can not see any difference into other colors.

Roger, if your contrast (sometimes called picture) and brightness controls are at max you can increase the tubes brightness by turning the "screen control" clockwise, be advised a little turn goes a long ways, don`t crank it too far or you will get retrace lines, you will have to remove the back from the set and follow the red wire down from the tube to the "flyback transformer" on the front of the flyback are 2 controls, focus and screen, do not move the focus control, this should fix your problem.
