SOURCE: ThickToasted Sandwiches not browning or cooking on the bottom

There are a number of possibilities. First clean the cavity with approved non-caustic oven cleaner. Do not overuse this chemical. You need to remove all the crumbs at the back of the cavity. Use a putty knife if you have to. Check error codes by turning oven off and pushing 4 & 6 on the keypad at the same time to check for errors. These ovens are not like any other oven. You can't just guess and change parts. Its about like telling someone how to fix their own plane and hoping it works.

Bread (biscuits/rolls) burn on top and raw on bottom.

there are two elements in the oven one on top..one on bottom...the top one is also used for broil functions...the lower element may have burned out...to remove it there will be a screw holding a plate with the lower element attached to it...you may also need to turn the oven around and in the back there may be a cover where the electrical connections are...you may need to unscreww 2 screws to remove the element...if you have a multitester or can get one ..you'll want to check the resistance of the element..it will be a low value(not sure what value exactly). If it won't give a reading or shows nothing on the meter then you'll need to replace the element...you can get elements at appliance parts stores or on the internet..you can even try an appliance repair shop for parts.

We have a GE gas oven/stove top and the stove top is lighting as well as the broiler but we can not get the oven to heat up. What do you suggest we try?

i just moved and our stove in the new place doesnt bake things right. it seems that the top coil doesnt come on. its very difficult to bake anything. seems to come up to temp for pre heating, but only the bottom coil comes on. If you put it on broil, then the top coil gets hot. that works fine. tired of burning pizzas and biscuits. can anyone help with a cheap fix? dont have alot of cash.

Simpson Evolution 904 wall oven cooks very unevenly

I agree, the heating is very uneven in our oven, however, when I calibrated the temperature with a thermocouple, I discovered that the temperature gauge was 25C too hot! That is, if I set the oven temperature gauge to 155C, it was actually 180C inside the oven! Taking this in to account, it is now much easier to cook things without them burning.
