Question about JVC KD-S6060 CD Player

I have a KD-S6060 which I am trying to wire up as an axillery in my campervan setting it in thje roof. When it is switched on it just reads 'Good By' and goes off. please help John, Bradford

Thanks for using FixYa. This issue occurs due to faulty wiring. Please check the wiring, if you need any wiring information then please provide the make, model and year of your campervan so that I can provide you with the wiring information.

Also try and reset the KD-S6060 CD Player. To reset it you need to follow these steps.

1. While holding SEL (select), press ATT (standby/on attenuator) for more than 1 minute. This will reset the built-in microcomputer.

2. Please note that all your preset channels or sound adjustments will be erased. And if there is a CD in the unit, it will eject after resetting the KD-S6060 CD Player.

press the select button then scroll with the up and down button until h or m light up on screen then press vol button up and down to set or keep your finger on the sel button and adjust with left up down then press right up down to select hour or minutes

The CD does not want to eject. Any sollutions?

try either pressing the reset switch if there is one, or disconnect power to the radio for an hour or so.

My car stereo a jvc kd-s6060 losses pre-set stations when its been turned off.

Your wires are probably backwards. the yellow one is for memory and it gets wired to direct battery voltage to hold the memory. The red wire is for power when key is turned on.

You need to swap the ignition live and permanent live around. If you have a vauxhall the car stereo wiring is the opposite way round to everyone else! Some Rovers have it aswell.

the code for this radio was not set by the factory, but by the original owner and the code could be anything-unfortunately unless you contact the original owner and they know the code you are out of luck
