No because it is too dangerous. When you go into Airplane Mode, you literally turn everything off! Airplane Mode is only for being on an airplane. If you are using it a lot whilst not flying, you are not using it correctly.

Did you check if batteries got exhausted? Else, if you flew it 3 times and afterward it stoped responding,I would say that you are not doing anything wrong. The problem is your flying gadget. It it's on warranty, return it

i have the same game but for a different console, the farther and higher you jump, the farther the hawk will carry you, and for the hawk to fly approximately 1/2 a second after you jump, that's what worked for me, though it still takes about a couple tries
