Question about Ricoh GR-1 35mm Point and Shoot Camera
This product has very limited technical guidelines. However you may try to open up the mechanism like shutter area. Some SLR cameras give similar problem which is usually fixable.
There are group of very sensitive springs connected to Shutter. Due to the environmental facts springs get tighter or partially stuck that cause delay or incomplete round of posing process.
If you have necessary tools and confidence to open the shutter area you can ease the springs you may even use precision oil gently around spring area and reduce the friction.
Take a try and post the result here. Also you may ask additional question we will gladly answer.

Well if everything else is working then either this display has a broken/loose connection to it or the display itself is burnt out. Either way, it is not worth fixing unless you want to open it up since buying a new camera would be in your better interests rather than paying for someone to open it or just using it as is since everything else is working on it. Let me know how this turns out.
