bmw z4 alternator help cracked alternator upper mount 2003 z4 head light ... Before putting my car in storage a few months ago my old battery was nearly dead I needed to... in a Z4) but the same big yellow battery light is still on my dash appearing for .... Hi guys I own a 2005 Z4 2.5i Auto and there is a weird whining sound.

x3 wont start... charged battery and still died, ideas ...

OK, long story but here it goes (hopefully the length will help with ... I hook the jumpstarter up to the battery, let it sit 1-2 minutes, then ... The AZ rep. tells me that my battery is at 9V and this is why my car .... Mein Auto: 2004 X3 2.5i ... If battery is original (2005) it is more than likely one cell has shorted out. Z4 starter motor and related problems.

I could not start my Z this morning after not driving it for the past 4 days because of the weather. All lights come on the dash including the head lights but it won't crank. ... If the starter is not cranking because of the battery being too drained .... BMW Z4 2.5i started slow and finally would make a clicking noise.

Hi, if the car stay for long time the computer box lost memory. Now is not reading the key. You need to program your key again by BMW manufacturer. Also on bmw the alarm is connected to computer box too.

More than likely it is the alternator not putting out enough to run the car.

IT DOES SOUND LIKE KEY FOB DYING AND I HOPE IT IS AS IT WOULD BE CHEAPEST PROBLEM TO SOLVE. GOOD LUCK

I would check charging system, alternator, voltage regulator and good be a bad battery take it to auto zone/ advance they will test your charging system for free

if its the stock radio, the security alarm runs through it, mine did same till i pulled the stock one and put a aftermarket radio in.

Sounds like it went into "limp mode" when your battery went low. BMW or any good specialty shop needs to reset your computer. (they don't reset themselves) most will do it for free. NOTE: if it does come back on, it's notifying you there is a pending issue that occurred coincidently.

Sounds like a start of a fuel pump. You would have to hook up a gauge to tell more. There is a specific fuel pressure specification for your vehicle.You should find out what code is in the computer.That is always a good starting place

The only thing that I can see and should make sense is the body control module controls the ground side of the headlight relay.

Maybe the control module is defective or the wire to the relay ground side.... grounds itself somehow which would also cause the flickering.
