Question about Aloha Housewares (93645) Ceiling Fan

Using remote control and wall switch

I have an aloha breeze ceiling fan #29006. I have it installed with the remote control receiver. The only probem is that I can only work the fan and the lights with the remote control. I want to be able to work the ligths with the remote and the wall switch. Is that possible? I noticed that there are four switches on the receiver and four on the remote. Does putting those switches in a different pattern solve the problem?

Model 29006 - remote cannot control fan speed anymore, even with new 9V battery in it. Where can I get info for repair or replacement?

It is possible that your remote control unit is faulty if the fan can be adjusted on the set. If so you can open the remote and check for loose components, normally the crystal or the controller IC can be loose . use a good touch up soldering job . If not try to get help from any electronic service shop as they may assist with the remote controller work. But take your fan alonf to confirm the service. Hope you try this out. Good day

I have an Aloha Breeze L-Style 52" Ceiling Fan(Polished Brass), Model # 29079 Bought From Wal-Mart about 1 1/2 years ago and the fan speed switch busted and the capacitor melted. I have a new switch but can't find a new capacitor because I can't read the spec info. Looking for a place to obtain the correct capacitor for this fan so I can make necessary repairs!

Light bulbs burn out

Use bulbs specifically designed for ceiling fans - they say "ceiling fan" on the package (Home Depot, Lowes both carry). The slightest regular vibration (like a fan rotating) causes normal incandescent elements to burn out within days or weeks.

If you wired black to black, white to white and green or bare to ground, you wired it right. Sometimes there are two blacks (hots) one for the light and one for the fan, but most of the time you hook the light wiring parallel to the fan wiring unless you install a remote switch.

One black wire on the switch hooked to the black sources wire. The other black wire on the switch hooked black up to the fan. The green on the switch wire goes to the bare wire. If there is bare wire you can use the white wire.
