Question about Onkyo Audio Players & Recorders
No sound from left or right front speakers
Well, the first thing to check is speaker connections. Secondly, is the tape monitor on? Accidentally hitting that will not allow other inputs to come through. Third.....if this is a new receiver(or one you havnt used) If there is a set of 4 RCA jacks on the back marked either processor or Preamp out/Amp in? These are to add an equalizer or porcessor of some sort and may need jumpers to connect the internal amp with the preamp. Sometimes there may be a switch on the back that says processor. If so set it to off. Finally check the speakers and thier polarity as well as the speaker switch on the receiver. If none of theses things work then the receiver may need service. You should hear two clicks on start up. One immed as you press the on switch and another as the speakers click on a few seconds later. If the second click isnt there and all other things I mentioned checked......You may have an electrical prob in the receiver.
