Can't open end to cha be how do you change the batteries on a Mini Maglite cannot open the back housing on it on mii mag lite

Twist off the opposite end of the bulb side , the hole in the cast of the cap is for your keychain ring.

My Mini Mag light has a knurled cap on the end opposite the light bulb. It should unscrew to reveal the AAA batteries.

The back of the flashlight screws off to replace batteries.

unscrew the rear piece to change batterys.

make sures its being turned to the left, and if it will not come off, wrap duct tape around it to protect it and use large vice grips or pliers to get it off. Vice grips would be better as the lock but dont' lock them down too tight as you can dent the cap.

I've had the same problem, even took a new Mini Mag back to the store, only to get another one doing the same thing.....finally realized that the batteries that came with the flashlight were not good. Fresh new batteries solves the problem.

The end will unscrew

Unscrew the back end of it.

Carefully.....

Check in the base of the torch and you will see the spare bulb. you need to pull the spring out to get at it.
Next unscrew the top off the torch to expose the bulb.
The bulb is easily removed by gently pulling straight out. Replace the new bulb in the same way, lining the two pins up with the holes (doesn't matter which way round) and wipe the bulb clean of any finger grease etc.
Screw the top back on and replace the spring in the base before screwing the base back on..
Replacement bulbs, and all other parts for that matter, are easily sourced at any good outdoor store that stocks MAG.
