Question about HP Color LaserJet 2600n Printer

All four cartridges stuck on the right side in CLJ 2600

The solution given has nothing to do with this problem. Its a mechanical problem, not "stuck paper". I was able to remove the cartridges with the help of a pockt knife, pushing the plasic parts aside which block each cartridge. Inserting the new cartridges again required the use of the knife to lift a plastic hook and then to push a plastic roller to the right to give way for the cartridre.

Any REAL suggestion what could be wrong?

Please review the instructions for changing cartidges on your printer here , here and here.
It may ease your mind to know there have been others reporting the same problem with your machine, (see here), but I haven't been able to locate any legitimate solutions.
Make sure the correct cartridges are installed. (see here)
I haven't worked on that model, but I'm guessing that maybe opening the door is supposed to disengage the impeding parts and that's not occurring?
Otherwise, call HP support and they may have some kind of experience with this issue.
Sorry I couldn't offer something more concrete...

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

There should be a ribbon-cable that pushes/pulls the cartridges left/right. Is that cable broken? If not, is the cable still connected to the casing around the cartridge?

If you mean toner, you can probably do it, but most new printers have a memory chip on the cartridge which keeps track of toner. Adding toner will not change the count and the printer will ignore the new toner

When changing an ink cartridge on my i9900, the cartridge carrier suddenly began to move. Because the cartridge was only 1/2 half way out, the carrier got stuck for a second or so at the side of the slide...

Hello thanks for using FixYa

Error 5100 means that the cartridge can not be detected by the printer. Actually the printer is not actually loading the cartridge and showing you the error 5100.

To solve these follow the following steps. I hope it works
  • Turn off printer
  • Remove both the cartridges from the printer
  • Use a clothe moistened with alcohol to clean the surface contact on the cartridges where the terminals inside the printers touches
  • Return the cartridges
  • Turn on the printer.
Error will be removed

I hope this solution will helpful 4 u

HP 2600 cartridge stuck in the printer

This is most likely a broken part, It is probably the drive connection to the transfer belt.

It's fairly common for these to break, and the part is not available as a spare (unless you strip one from another printer).

HP 2600 Cartridge Jam on Right Side

If they are locked in on the right side, the cartridge drive(s) are not being retracted when the front door is opened. There will be a broken part, which is difficut to obtain, and requires a major stripdown of the printer to find and repalace.

It can be easier and MUCH quicker to replace the whole gear assembly on the right hand side of the printer. These ARE available, and can also be removed from another printer with other faults/damage which renders that one BER.
