Question about Ingenico eN-Touch 1000 Digital Pen

Pen writes in one spot, but image shows up 1/2 below.....

Wondering if there is some type of calibration that can be done. The pen writes in one spot on the screen, but the actual text shows up about a 1/2 inch below. I have searched and come up with nothing so far.

Re: Pen writes in one spot, but image shows up 1/2...

1. To calibrate the ENTouch 1000 power off the device.

2. Prior to restoring power touch the pen to the center of the screen and do not move it.

3. Power on the device. Leave pen in center of the screen and do not move it. If you move it the device will not enter calibration mode.

4. Allow device to boot. If you held the pen in place the EnTouch 1000 will enter calibration mode.

5. Follow the on screen instructions. Be very methodical and do not try to rush it...

No Calibration for Wacom Pen

Sounds like your pen has problems, after so many attempts to calibrate the pen fail your tablet will automatically shut that feature off. I would suggest getting a new pen if possible and recalibrate it. The wire or fiber optic cable, which ever it has is bad to break where it bends down into the pen. Also the sensor in the end of the pen could have gone bad. I would contact the manafacturer on it and see what their tech's advise.

Wacom babmboo pen does not work

If the eraser part of your pen works but the business-end doesn't, this fix may be for you. Since the only option is to replace the whole pen, it's worth the try. The interesting part: There is no "live" powered electronics in the pen (it is a simple L-C circuit for you tech-weenies out there) - truly the only way to make the pen not work is to drop it and knock it out of adjustment, use it as a crude paper punch, or get it soaked with some type of fluid such as coffee, beer or soda. The pen is an excellent design is designed to just eventually wear out. My pen is 10 years old and still looks new.

I needed a small jeweler's screwdriver for this fix (1 mm to 1.2 mm width). Carefully remove the rocker switch from the pen; it just pulls out. Don't lose it. See the image below: there is an itsy bitsy slotted screw-like device in the center (it's a tuning capacitor). For its location, follow the white arrow in the picture I've attached. Prior to turning, memorize where the slot-head points (there's a tiny triangle on it), and if possible, use a fine point sharpie to mark the screw before you adjust it. It is not a "screw" per se, but an adjustable capacitor and part of the tuned circuit.

The adjustment: Place the pen as normal on the tablet and "tweak" the capacitor by a small 1/16 or 1/8 turn in either direction until the pen reacts. If it has gotten out of "resonance" this tweak should kick it back in.

Good luck!magriv_0.jpg

Bamboo fun pen feels ridged

I had the same problem with only the eraser working but I fixed mine though it was kind of risky... I had to disassemble the pen. I think this voids the warranty so, do it at your own risk. OK, so this is how I did it: 1) I first took off the tip and the eraser (only the cap, not the coil inside) using my teeth as suggested in here! 2) I pulled the two parts of the pen away in the middle *carefully and slowly* for about half a centimetre, then unhinged the blue plastic (not the one with the buttons, the one one the "rear" side) 3) When the rear slid off, I unhinged the "buttons" plastic and the whole circuit could come off easily. I noticed that the front coil had a broken core (the cylinder that holds the wire in place). I used super-glue and voila!!! Problem solved!

Writing with the pen

I've done this, but only by using a graphics program, creating and saving the signature and then importing it into Word as an image and placing it where I wanted it...

Hope that helps a bit.

Dispaly on eN-Touch 1000 is getting blank

Check the power adapter, sometimes they get hot and they don't supply enough power to the pin pad. Also make sure that the power cable is not loose, twisted or broken, this can also contribute to the problem.
