Make sure there are no major airflow obstructions. If not, replace the coil packs on the gas valve.

Maytag gas dryer, model mdg9206bww, has lost power, replaced ignitor switch about 3 months ago, any suggestions where to start?

try checking the voltage commimg into the dryer outlet make sure you have 208/220/240 volts at the two hot terminals and 120 volts from ground to each of the hot terninals if only getting 120 to one terminal you have a bad breaker or fuse

Maytag dryer mdg9206bww runs but will nto get hot. Gas does not come on. Have volt meter and exp. working on electrical equipment but do not understand sequence and where should have voltage on settings.

This most likely has a "Glow Rod" type of igniter for the gas, along with a photosensitive glow/flame detector. Most glow rods are ceramic with an electrically conductive coating that makes them a resistive element. They will last until the ceramic breaks. Be careful with it, if it's not broken, it is very fragile, and so is the replacement.

U might want to look on the back of the dryer to see if there is a panel to take off. If not the hole top will have to come off. Is the top made on the rest of the dryer or is there a split between it.
