If I remember the SR16 correctly, the answer is sadly, no. The SR16 will let you assemble a series of patterns into a song like order, but it won't link them. You'd have to change patterns when needed.
What power adapter do you have on this? This one REQUIRES and AC input, NOT a DC adapter !!! Many people try DC adapters on these because they lose the original and ALL fail. You need a 9VAC at 830ma or more adapter. If you have lost yours, search for "SR16 power adapter" to find replacement.
Sorry, but this unit does NOT support "bridged" mode. You will have to drive seperate speakers from the two seperate outputs. You would NOT get any more power if you could do bridged mode than you could with 4 ohm speakers on each of the two output channels.
Performing a 'Reset' on your Sr16 will will 'clear' it's memory and re-initialize all of it's parameters to the original factory settings. This implies that:
All of your User Patterns will be erased.
All Songs will be erased.
All drum assignments you have made will be erased.
None of the above actions should be an issue to you as:
It is assumed that at some point you have Export any 'User' Patterns you may have programed into your Sr16 and imported them into your _rMidi installation.
It is assumed that at some point you have Export any 'User' Kits you may have programed into your Sr16 and imported them into your _rMidi installation.
Perform The Reset
To perform a 'Reset' on your Sr16:
Turn the pwer off and wait a few seconds.
Press and hold the PLAY and ERASE buttons while turning in the power.
Continue holding down these buttons for at least three seconds after turning on the power.
If this doesn't fix it, check power adapter. If that is OK then service is required
Come from the main outputs, probably labeled L/mono and R and connect those to your mixer for your audio system on either stereo mix input OR two two inputs that are panned opposite.. DO NOT connect this to a consumer type stereo system as you may blow the speakers or amp. Consumer stuff just isn't able to take output from music equipment such as this UNLESS the volume is kept very low.
You can, however a bass speaker cabinet will NOT handle the higher pitch sounds needed for cymbals and snares, etc. You would connect it to the return AND doing so would DISABLE the other inputs of the bass speaker cabinet.
If you want both a guitar and drum machine into the cabinet, you need at least a small mixer or a speaker cabinet that can take two channels input simultaneously.
Plugging into the "return" of the cabinet DISCONNECTS the power amp from the preamp section in the cabinet.
