Question about Hotpoint 24 in. FDW60 Free-standing Dishwasher
Hi there experts,
The dishwasher is a hotpoint Aquarius FDW60 floor standing
The dishwasher will fill and empty so pump and intake ok.
Trouble is when it fills it keeps heating the water until it boils it and doesnt step on to the next part of the cycle/program.
I would think it is something to do with a thermostat somewhere have you got any idea's for me please
Hi had the same problem, change the wash pump capacitor, you can get one from maplins

The dishwasher most likely has a thermostat located on the bottom or on the pump assembly. Its supposed to close at a temp around 150 and allow timer to advance .

Can you hear/see any washing sound/spray, it sounds to me like the wash pump could be faulty.
