The remote no longer changes stations but some

The remote no longer changes stations but some other functions still work . The receiver has essentially never been touched as I always use the remote. The tuning functions do work manually but some do not work remotely. Those that work: power, audio level, the alt light comes on, the adf changes and there are other things that work but changing stations is the most important thing for me and it does not work.
